Your station fonts are available in every visual and every text style of the station. Add a font from Google Fonts or upload your own files at Settings → Outputs → Fonts.

Add a Google font

Open Station fonts

Go to Settings → Outputs → Fonts and click Add font.

Pick the font

Set Font type to Google and choose the font under Select Google font.

Save

Click Create font.

Upload your own font files

Upload every weight and style of a family at once. VRA groups the files into one font per family name.

Open Station fonts

Go to Settings → Outputs → Fonts and click Add font, or drop the files on the font list.

Choose the files

Set Font type to Custom and click Choose font files. Select all the files, or a zip that holds them.

Save

Click Create font.
Accepted files are .woff, .woff2, .ttf, .otf and .zip. VRA reads the first 50 files in a zip and skips any file over 10 MB. VRA reads the weight and style from each file, like Bold or Light Italic. To correct one, open the font in the list after saving and change the weight or style next to the file. A font with the same name as a Google font already at the station is skipped.

Use a font in your graphics

A font with Active on is available in every visual of the station. Use it in one of three places:
  • As the Heading font or Body font at Settings → Outputs → Branding, see Set up your station branding.
  • In a text style, so every layer with that style uses it.
  • On a single text layer: select the layer, set Style to Custom and pick the Font.

Change or delete a font

Open a custom font in the list to change its files, weights or Display name. Saving asks you to confirm, because font changes can change how existing visuals look. Check your visuals afterwards. Click Delete font to remove it. Visuals that use the font can no longer show it.
