This guide teaches you how to connect easily a streamingssoftware, like OBS or vMix, to VisualRadioAssist.

8 Steps to connect your streamingsoftware
OBS
- Download and install the latest version of OBS.
- Download and install the latest version of OBS Plugin βobs-websocketβ > Assets > obs-websocket-xxx-Windows-Installer.exe
- Possibly, you should restart OBS after the installation.
- Open VisualRadioAssist Server Settings > Triggering > Options.
- Select OBS as your active streamingsoftware.
- Make sure the ip/gateway settings of VisualRadioAssist Trigger Options match the settings from OBS -> Tools -> Websocket.
- When the connection is succesful, there will occur a green checkbox, next to the gateway number.
- Verify if all existing scenes from OBS are loaded in VisualRadioAssist.
vMix
- In this example, we assume vMix is up and running. Verify this in Preferences -> Webserver.
- Open VisualRadioAssist Server Settings -> Triggering -> Options
- Select vMix and make sure the ip / gateway data of vMix match the settings of the VisualRadioAssist server.
- When the connection is succesful, there will occur a green checkbox, next to the gateway number.
{info} ## Hint.. For both OBS and vMix, VisualRadioAssist communicates via the network. This means that it will not be necessary to have the streamingsoftware and the VisualRadioAssist server installed on the same computer. You could even make visual radio on the other side of the world if your settings (gateway configuration/latency) are correct.
